Sexual Attractions

Frankly, I lived underneath a rock most of my life. But this quote from Sherlock makes me really think: "Beauty is a construct based entirely on childhood impressions, influences and role models". In today's modern society skinny is sexy, or strong/athletic, not too muscular but not too skinny, I guess, and tall, but not too tall (people are really picky). This is influenced by the media, either in magazines, movies, video games or television shows. Sex is also highly broadcasted in today's modern society. You will see a general pattern in what "appeals" to people, if you ask them in a large enough group, I might even run that test (comment if you wish to what you find attractive. If I do post results of the test then I shall keep it anonymous. I am not one to judge to what you find attractive, if I were to judge then I would be a hypocrite.) Back to the discussion on hand. I am not really one to know what is surely attractive towards the greater population. Attractiveness is really an opinion based thing. There is no right answer to what is attractive, it is an opinion that was entirely up to you. Some people do not find skinny or fit to be attractive. To continue on about attractions I delve deeper into the world of "fetishism". What is "fetishism?" Fetishism is " a sexual focus on a nonliving object or non-genital body part", from the Wikipedia entry. Some people aren't just attracted to people, some are attracted to... carrots, couches, trees, the color blue, basically generic things that you (probably) would find completely normal, but someone else might have an attraction towards it. This is also from influences and environmental traits when you were a child.
